Joint IDA of Wythe County Presents Industry Tenure Awards

WYTHEVILLE—The Joint Industrial Development Authority recently presented tenure awards (in five year intervals) for 2010 to Wythe County industries. These awards were presented at a special luncheon held at the Wytheville Meeting Center on January 28, 2010. Dr. Charlie White, President of Wytheville Community College and current President of the Wytheville-Wythe-Bland Chamber of Commerce, was the keynote speaker. Wytheville Office Supply sponsored the luncheon.
The following companies received acknowledgment for their contributions to the community over extended periods of time for 2010: 5-year award—Gatorade Blue Ridge; 15-year award—Southwest Specialty Heat Treat, Camrett Logistics; 20-year award—American Tire Distributors, Chandler Concrete; 25-year award—Johnson Screens, MTC Transformers; 30-year award—Coperion Corporation; 35-year award—Umberger Contractors; 50-year award—Farmers Milling & Supply, Inc.; 60-year award—Boart Longyear; 110-year award—Rural Retreat Mills, Inc.
