Wythe County and Solis Arx Announce New Digital Infrastructure Investment in Progress Park

December 5, 2025

In conjunction with Wythe County, Solis Arx, a developer of digital infrastructure, confirms the establishment of a state-of-the-art A.I. computing campus on a 99-acre tract within Progress Park, Wythe County, Virginia. This project represents a major capital investment in the region’s growing economy.

“This carefully considered, significant capital investment will strengthen Wythe County’s tax base and support long-term growth in our local economy,” said Wythe County Board of Supervisors Chair Brian W. Vaught. “Projects like this expand our ability to improve infrastructure and public services, such as school improvements and public safety funding, without additional tax pressure on local families. Our partnership with Solis Arx gives us confidence that this development, located in an industrial park and not in a residential area, will provide meaningful benefits for the people who call this county home.”

“We are incredibly pleased to confirm Progress Park as the site for our new A.I. factory. This community has shown remarkable vision in preparing for the next wave of technological expansion. As we build this next-generation facility, we are committed to doing so with deep respect for the land, its natural resources, and the long-term preservation of what makes this region special. We look forward to building a strong and lasting partnership with the community,” said Robert Noll, founder and chief executive officer of Solis Arx.

“Jobs such as those created by this project, while fewer than some large manufacturing projects, provide quality employment at all skill levels. For those who want to pursue information technology careers, they won’t have to look far for high tech, high wage opportunities,” said Michael D. Cole, Joint Industrial Development Authority of Wythe County Board Chair.

“The site—otherwise known as Progress Park Lot 35—provides the required acreage, access to existing robust electrical infrastructure, and is a comfortable distance from the closest residential neighbors at over a mile away,” said David Manley, Executive Director of the Joint Industrial Development Authority of Wythe County. He added, “Acquired in 1999, Progress Park has been marketed as a certified site for data center development for well over a decade. This project is a great fit that will strengthen and diversify the economic base.”

Further announcements related to the multi-phase deployment will be made in the near future as Solis Arx works with the county and the Commonwealth of Virginia to coordinate regulatory and permitting timelines.
